Would you like to become a Foreign Exchange Student at Fairmont Academy! This school is a great choice! Located on the historic Stanton Estate in Anaheim, Fairmont Preparatory High School is a non-sectarian high school that attracts students from throughout Southern California and the world. This school stresses academics and was awarded the Blue Ribbon Award from the US Department of Education, the highest honor that an American school can achieve.  Fairmont Academy offers an unparalleled 21 AP classes, college level math curriculum, International Baccalaureate (IB), medical and engineering magnet programs, and an international baccalaureate degree. Fairmont Academy High School offers a rigorous math and science education magnet to prepare students for medical and pre-medical studies and has a tremendous student success in math and science (Fairmont Preparatory High School is recognized as being one of the top math, science, and technology schools in California).

Fairmont Academy is one of two independent high schools in Orange County to offer the IB diploma program. The IB diploma is recognized by colleges and universities around the world and requires special coursework, exams, and independent work. High school age students would attend the International Academy if they are not English proficient.  If they are English proficient they attend the Preparatory Academy. Fairmont offers 3 levels of acceptance: International Foundation Year (additional classes in ESL), Direct Entry with Advanced Writing Workshop and Direct Entry/No English Foundation.

Honors Courses: Exchange students also often take these honors courses offered by Fairmont: Abstract Math & Numbers Theory, Algebra II & Pre-Calculus, Algebra II /Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, Discrete mathematics, Engineering Physics, English I, II, Geometry, Physiology, Intro to differential Equations & Linear Algebra, Mandarin, Multivariable Calculus, Chemistry, Physics B, C, Spanish

AP Courses: Exchange Students at Fairmont who qualify will be eligible to take Advanced Places courses, and receive college credit in subjects: AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Ap Chemistry, AP Computer Science, AP Economics, AP English HL1 and HL 2, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature, AP Environmental Science, AP European History, AP Mandarin, AP Music Theory, AP Physics B/C, AP Spanish, AP Statistics, AP Studio Art, AP US Government, AP US History, AP World History

IB Courses: Exchange Students if qualified can attend the International Baccalaureate Program…only 88 high schools in the State of California offer the Baccalaureate Program! Biology, Chemistry, History of the Americas, Mandarin, Mathematics SL, Mathematical Studies, Music Theory, Philosophy, Physics B and C, Spanish, Theatre Arts, Theory of Knowledge, Visual Arts. 


Clubs & Extracurricular Activities:
Athletics: Would you like to participate in Badminton, Cross Country, Football, Soccer, basketball, Field Hockey, Golf, Softball, Track & Field, Wrestling, Baseball, Tennis, Volleyball. Exchange students at Fairmont Academy High School may tryout for any of these sports

Arts:
Are you an Exchange Student interested in the Arts? Fairmont offers: Band, Computer Arts, Video/Film Production, Choir, Dance, Drawing/Painting, Theater/Drama

Clubs: 
Exchange students are welcomed to join one of the school clubs like: Debate, Journalism, Radio/Video, Multi Media, Science/Technology, Fairmont has more than 50 clubs!
