Become a Foreign Exchange Student at Venice High School! Venice High School (also known as ("VHS"). Venice High School is Located between Culver City and Venice, just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean, Venice High School proudly represents the complexity and diversity of its surrounding community. VHS is one of the ‘best kept secrets’ in the Los Angeles Unified School District and invite you to immerse yourselves in a thriving and supportive community that values progress, excellence, and achievement. All Venice High students are required to complete a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum that meets or exceeds the requisite A-G requirements to qualify for a University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) school. Venice High School strives to be an exemplary learning community that supports innovation and academic excellence for all its students. Our school addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of its students and commits to providing an excellent, rigorous, standards-based instructional program. Venice High School promotes student achievement, self-accountability, community interest, and a global perspective to ensure all students are prepared to work and live in the 21st Century.
A Sampling of Courses Offered: Exchange Students can take regular high school courses such as: English 9, 10, 11, 12, American Government, World History, US History, Algebra, Math Analysis, Geometry, Probability & Statistics, Statistics, Calculus, Algebra II & Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Physiology, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Sociology, Ethnics, Logistics & Critical Thinking, Law & Order, Spanish 1, 2, French 1, 2

AP Classes: Exchange Students who qualify will be eligible to take Advanced Places courses, and receive college credit in subjects like:  Exchange Students may be eligible to take Advanced Placement courses and receive college credits in subject like: US History, Art History, Studio Art, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, English Literature, English Language, Environmental Science, European Science, French, German, Spanish, Spanish Literature, Government, Human Geography, Calculus AB.BC, Physics, Psychology, Statistics, Music Theory


Honors Classes: Exchange students often take honors courses at VHS like: Biology, Contemporary Literature, Physiology, World History

Athletics & Extra-Curricular Activities:

Athletics: Foreign Exchange Students may try out to be part of the team for many sports VHS offers: Baseball ,Softball, Basketball ,Cheerleading ,Cross country ,Football ,Golf ,Soccer ,Swimming ,Tennis, Volleyball ,Water polo

Arts:  Are you an Exchange Student that plays an instrument, sings, enjoys dance or enjoys drama? If so, this is the high school for you!  Bands, Arts, Theater, Graphic Arts, Music, Choir

Extracurricular Activities & Clubs: Exchange students are encouraged to join a club.
